The road projects, according to the MP, are intended to fulfil campaign commitments while addressing longstanding infrastructure challenges facing residents and businesses within the constituency.
Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni has been working with the Ministry of Roads and Highways and relevant agencies to upgrade rough inner-city roads into durable asphalt and paved surfaces.
During an inspection of ongoing road and drainage projects at Abofu and Alogboshie, the Assembly Member for the Abofu Electoral Area, Hon. James Aklogo, commended the MP for making infrastructure development a priority in the constituency.
He said the completion of the asphalted roads would bring significant relief to residents and motorists by reducing dust, lowering vehicle maintenance costs and improving access to markets, schools and health facilities.
Hon. Aklogo, however, appealed to residents of Alogboshie to help protect the newly improved roads and drainage infrastructure.

He cautioned residents against washing vehicles on the roads, spilling oil onto the road surface and undertaking cooking activities on the roads, warning that such practices could damage the infrastructure and undermine the benefits of the projects.
He also urged residents to cooperate with contractors working on the projects to ensure that construction progresses smoothly and is completed within the scheduled timeframe.
Some residents of Alogboshie expressed their appreciation for the ongoing projects, describing the road and drainage improvements as a major relief to the community.
They thanked Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni and the government for responding to their concerns and investing in infrastructure that they said would improve mobility, sanitation and economic activities in the area.
